May 4th , 2012 To hear spoken word artist is a treat for my ears. I have many family that take part in this craft and I enjoy when it is done well. Meet J Elizabeth Hardges. Out of Elizabeth , New Jersey from the info that I can find. Hardges brings the Word of God to listeners in Spoken Word. Now if your thinking this is just a hour sermon and pass the collection plate; you have been sadly mistaken. This sister brings forth the message in a way to touch many hearts to lead them to The Almighty, with energetic encouragement. Method of Madness ( Mixtape #Salutes)
Vicious by V-Row ! Review is in.Vicious Review
By: Mz Infared May 10th, 2012 I recently received an album to review titled "Vicious" by V-Row. The 1st solo project after releasing two "3 Kingz" mixtapes in the past the year. "Vicious" was released in April 2012. LaVarus Henderson A.k.a V-Row is a native of Davenport, Iowa and is one third of the rap group 3 Kingz or known as Majesty Entertainment. V-Row brings a street life style type hip-hop to his music and fan's. I will discuss the mixtape as a whole as well as a few song's i took interest to. When you 1st listen to the mixtape the sound quality is not up to par. It sounds as if it was recorded in an area with no sound proofing. The vocals lack a warmth know to professional sound engineer's when mixing and mastering a project. But getting to the meat of the project. V-Row's style is one that many of today's generation can relate to. You can tell V-Row has the aspirations of wanting to make it in the industry. And that is what drives this mixtape to be what it is; a work in progress. But i was bored and struggled to listen to the entire mixtape. What made it as such was his mono tone voice, elementary style word play and the repetitious mentioning of his own name. "V-Row Let's Go" is mentioned at the beginning of almost every song followed by just his name throughout the song as well. And for example of his elementary style word play V-Row said in his song titled "Gates" and I quote "I keep that pussy coming like she got that cardiac cat". Being of the female gender I did not comprehend that nor do i believe he does either. I feel that reading a dictionary and thesaurus a few time's would take him further therefore enhancing his skill's as an artist and lyricist. However track number two titled "The Watcher" and track number seven titled "Motto Remix" both caught my ear. V-Row flowed with the beat and kept my attention throughout both song's. Not only lyrically but with his deliverance also. Overall as a 1st time listener I wasn't impressed with the artist nor the mixtape. Both lacked a flare and originality that would catch my liking's and keep me as a fan. I don't feel that you sold this mixtape as well as you could have; even though it was free. www.facebook.com/MzInfared031 www.twitter.com/MzInfared031 Any comment's that you have we will gladly read just make them in the comment box below. You can't stop the reignI was coming out of the Local vinyl store and looked in area for service ads and came across this CD. I must say I was hesitant to listen; the artwork on the cover was leading me to think i am about to be cursed out for free.
I will tell all don't judge a book by the cover. I put this CD in my deck and was in Awww. Hip-hop is still among our young black youth! YESSS! 1 - 10 rating. I give it a 9. Production was in order, The Flows were on point ! I drove another 8 minutes to enjoy the tracks. Salute to Abe Linx and Tully Cicero; also to Game Face Entertainment (GFE) .
